What is RAM and its use in Computer 

RAM is very important in a computer, no computer can be started without RAM. Whenever we turn on any smartphone or computer, the operating system is first loaded in RAM so that we can use the computer and today we will know in this article RAM kya hai whether mobile or computer hangs or slows down. Depending on the RAM, often people say that a mobile phone with more RAM will not hang soon, so whether it is right or wrong will know today in this article.

There are two types of memory in a computer -

1 -Primary Memory

2 -Secondary Memory

Primary memory is also of two types - RAM, ROM, but today we will discuss only RAM in this article.

What is RAM

RAM (Random Access Memory) - Whenever we open an app in computer or play any video, music, then the first RAM is loaded, after that the data from the RAM reaches the cpu so that we can use it. Is There is a direct connection between CPU and RAM and RAM is much faster than other memory so that DATA reaches the CPU in the right time.

It is a volatile memory in which the data disappears when the data computer or mobile is switched off, but it does not happen in ROM or other storage device, so RAM is called temporary memory.

How is RAM related to hang or slow down of computer or mobile -

We all know RAM comes in different sizes like - 1 GB, 2 GB, 3 GB 4 GB etc. So if we open more files according to the size of RAM then our phone slows down, It is also said to be hanging because RAM is not able to send data to the CPU at a certain time due to full RAM, which causes the speed of computer to work.

Full form of RAM in Hindi-

The full form of RAM is - Random Access Memory because it is because we can access RAM in Random, that is, when data from ROM or other memory comes in RAM, only then we can access it and power. The data disappears from it when its flow stops. Now you must have understood that RAM kya hai and how it works and further we will know how many types are there.

 Types of RAM in Hindi - There are two types of RAM -

1- Static RAM (SRAM)

2- Dynamic RAM (DRAM)

SRAM - Its full name is Static Random Access Memory. It uses the Flip-Flop process to store the data. This memory is volatile, ie it is temporary. SRAM speeds are much higher than DRAM. For example, SRAM CPU is used for Cache while DRAM is used for Computer Main Memory.

DRAM - Its full name is Dynamic Random Access Memory. Its speed is slower than SRAM. DRAM is the most used form of RAM in the present day computer which is used as the main memory of the computer.

Features of RAM -

1 - RAM is a temporary memory, that is, the data disappears when the electric current stops.

2 - It is more expensive than ROM and other memory.

3 - It is much faster than ROM and other memory.

4 - CPU can process any data by taking data from RAM itself.

5 - Its size is less than other memory.
