Laptop is also known as Notebook or Laptop computer. It is a small and portable personal computer consisting of a screen, attached keyboard and a trackpad or trackball (which acts as a mouse). It has been built with portability purpose so that it can be easily carried from one place to another.

As I told that it has been made with portability purpose, so a battery also exists in it, which provides the facility to work without power. It also has a power adapter through which we can charge the laptop battery.

The laptop is made with a combination of all input / output devices and also adds as much capabilities as a desktop computer such as display screen, keyboard, trackpad or trackball (pointing device), speaker, microphone, data storage device, processor, memory and battery are added. Webcams, WiFi, USB ports and touch screen facilities are also provided in today's laptops. It operates by internal battery or external power supply.

Laptop is called a laptop in Hindi but it also has a Hindi meaning "tied" which means to create a new device by combining all the input and output devices.
